Part forty-eight: Sugar
Sugar is probably the fastest way to feel good, but only for a while. Because sometimes after a few minutes your mood drops and you get a real low point. It is also one of the most famous drugs to destroy your health, from diabetes to cancer. So choose: temporary pleasure or health?
Let me first analyze the name of the sugar because it occurs under different forms. There are so many of them that I will use interchangeable only the most common ones, such as dextrose, fructose, glucose, caramel, lactose, maltodextrin, sucrose, sorbitol, maple syrup, sugar from sugar cane, maltose, xylitol or molasses.
Why is processed sugar unhealthy? Because it lacks the substances that break it into its first parts, and instead of excreting it, it is absorbed and stored in your body. So eating all the sugar beet with all the minerals, fibers and other ingredients that cause better digestion will be better than eating sugar alone. And so it is with practically every fruit and vegetable.
This days on the market is massive popularity for stuffing sugar into every product available in the grocery store. Thus, both in bread and meat, but also in sauces, soups, and dairy products. Most “healthy foods” contain huge doses of unhealthy sugars. It is because manufacturers know the preservative values of this ingredient. But they also discovered how addictive sugar is. By adding it to products, we depend to a certain extent on the product itself. And that’s where real business starts. Companies are making us real drug addicts, and we’re paying them to do it.
That is why real healthy food is so little popular. There’s nothing in it that’s gonna affect your psyche. These products are going to win exclusively in people who are awakened and aware of their decisions. However, this is not an attractive option for those who try it just for fun.
Of course, even if you are aware of the danger of eating candy and stop eating it, for example, the food economy will make sure that you continue to consume sugar. By continually replacing the name of this sweetness with another name, they can deceive you every time. The next dilemma is the debates on which type of sugar is better, namely that it is better to consume maple syrup than glucose-fructose sugar. The truth is, there’s no significant difference.
So, to ensure stability in the gastrointestinal tract, without worrying about mood spikes, we should completely give up sugar. The best method is to read product labels or buy only live and unprocessed food. But it’s also essential to keep the proportions. Another way is to avoid so-called simple sugars, i. e. sweetening extracts from fruit and vegetables. So, to apply everything as nature intended.
Such an example is stevia. When you buy stevia sugar, you buy an extract. However, you may as well buy a stevia plant, dry it, and grind it into powder. Such prepared sweetener use for baking, cakes, and creams. Or instead of fructose, grind the dates. They are sweet enough to be used for shakes, jams, slabs or bars. Another way is to use sugar substitutes such as erythritol. It does not contain calories and does not affect the level of glucose in the blood. This sweetener comes from some seaweed varieties, is not available to the body and is 100% excreted.
It is worth rethinking the matter because the truth is in the details. Wellbeing equals health, and sugar without any contrasts affects hyperactivity, chronic fatigue, overproduction of gastric acids, disturbance of bacterial flora, constipation, increased risk of parasitic diseases, caries and addictions.

Ah. I hope I convinced you to at least reduce your sugar intake, like an incomplete ban. Remember that you can still eat fruit and use it for desserts. You may also be interested in the keto diet, and especially in the recipes for treats with or without a minimum amount of carbohydrates. But don’t forget to search for other sugar names so you can be fully aware of how much sugar you consume per day, per month, per year.
Since the first sugar-free week is like rehab and the body’s reaction is not very tolerable, follow a sugar-free diet for at least two weeks. It’s not just about your well-being, so you must first weigh yourself before starting this experiment, but also to take a picture of your skin, hair, and nails. This all, you’re supposed to compare after two weeks with the new one. The effect will be surprising and guaranteed. All I care about is that you start reading the labels.
